Produced in 1918, This is an excellent example of a late WWI Colt M1911 Army contract pistol. Fixed sights, with the left side of the slide showing the two block Colt patent/address markings and the Rampant Colt, "H" above the firing pin and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S. ARMY" on the right side. "JMG" inspected frame, with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the left side. It has the correct checkered slide stop release and thumb safety with the wide hammer, checkered spur and short grip safety. The barrel is stamped "H" and "P" on top of the chamber. Checkered walnut diamond pattern grips. Complete with a 1944 production Milwaukee Saddlery tan leather holster, a June 1918 dated Mills tan canvas magazine pouch, and a pair of two-tone magazines.
