Excellent Early West German Weatherby Mark V Varmintmaster Bolt Action Rifle with Scope

This example was manufactured in West Germany circa 1964. Designed as a slimmed down version of the larger Weatherby Mark V with only 6 locking lugs instead of 9. It has a Leupold Vari-X III 6.5-20x scope. Mounted on a nicely figured, multi-point skip-line checkered walnut pistol grip stock with contrasting rosewood forend tip, contrasting rosewood grip cap with diamond inlay, raised cheekpiece, sling studs and factory recoil pad.

Excellent, 98% plus original blue finish with some scattered minor scratches and high edge wear. The stock is also excellent with some scattered dings and scratches. Mechanically needs work as rifle won't stay cocked on close of bolt. The scope is excellent as well with clear optics.
