Manufactured from 1881 to 1913, this revolver was also known as the "The New Model Navy". It is a top-break revolver which automatically ejects spent cartridges when opened. Built on a modified Model 3 frame and features a pinned blade front sight, nickel finish with casehardened trigger and hammer, blue barrel latch and trigger guard and is fitted with two-piece smooth ivory grips. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent dates and the matching serial number is marked on the butt, rear of the cylinder, barrel latch and on the barrel.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 98% original nickel finish with some mild muzzle wear, some small isolated flaking on the strap. Overall there are a few minor scratches and dings. 98% of the original bright blue finish remains on the latch and trigger guard. The hammer and trigger retain most of the original vivid case colors with a smooth gray patina on the contact areas. The grips are excellent with some hairline age cracks, mainly on the bottoms, and an attractive patina in the grain. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is excellent.
