Manufactured in 1958, this revolver is an excellent example of an early nickel plated Second Generation Single Action Army. One line address on top of the barrel, the left side marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45". The left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent date marking followed by the un-circled Rampant Colt. The left front of the trigger guard is marked with the Colt "VP" triangle proof, the rear is marked "P" and the right front is marked with a "5". The matching serial number is marked on the frame and under the grip on the left side of the front and back straps. The revolver is fitted with smooth walnut grips with the name "KEN SCHEIBEL" engraved on the back strap. Complete with the original black hinged lid box numbered to the gun, bore brush, original waxed paper and papers. The accompanying copy of a Colt factory order, (#9973), verifies the serial number, caliber, barrel length, finish and wood grips and is on the same invoice as the previous lot.

Condition: Excellent with 99% original nickel finish with a few overall very slight scratches. The hammer shows a small area of flaking and light oxidation on the back side. The grips are near new with a couple of very minor scratches and a slight ding near the heel. Box is excellent.
