Excellent Documented Winchester Model 21 Trap Skeet Grade Two Barrel Set Double Barrel Shotgun
Introduced by Winchester in 1931 the Model 21 was one of the companies finest efforts with regard to quality, reliability and strength. This Trap Skeet Grade shotgun features two sets of barrels. The 26" skeet barrels have a single red bead sight on the concave solid matte rib, 2 3/4" chambers, choked "WS2" and "WS1" with ejectors. The second set of barrels is 30" in length, 2 3/4" chambers and choke marked full/modified with ejectors. The 30" barrels are marked with the model, trade mark, gauge and chamber on top of the right breech end and the two line address on the left. The 26" set is marked "WINCHESTER-12 GAUGE / 2 3/4 CHAM" on the left rear. The water table is marked with the model and address on the right side and the patent numbers on the left. The bottom of the receiver is marked "TRAP / SKEET" directly ahead of the trigger guard. Tang mounted safety, single trigger with selector and mounted with a checkered beaver tail forearm and straight grip stock with an "S" branded on the right rear of the stock and a red vented recoil pad. Length of pull is 13". The accompanying Cody verification letter verifies the serial number, start date of 3-1-35, for stock trap skeet grade, 12 gauge, 26" barrel, chokes, selective ejector, straight grip stock, single trigger and final date as 3-12 "year torn off" (more than likely 1935). Other remarks reads "Lit sights on skeet barrels; fit rear sight on interchangeable barrel, Interchangeable barrels stick (illegible). Length of pull is 12 7/8".

Each set of barrels and remaining metal surfaces retain 99% all of the factory quality blue finish with a number tiny dings on the front underside of the receiver caused by the forearm hardware, otherwise only light handling marks overall. The wood is near mint with all of the high gloss varnish remaining, light handling marks and sharp checkering. The markings remain crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent. An attractive two barrel, Trap and Skeet Grade Model 21 shotgun.
