The included photocopy of the factory letter confirms finish, barrel length and caliber with this Government Model pistol being part of a 50-piece order shipped to Shapleigh Hardware Company on March 4, 1920. The left side of the slide is marked with the two line, two block patent dates and Hartford address ( "PATENTED APR.20, 1897. SEPT. 9, 1902/DEC.19, 1905. FEB.14, 1911. AUG.19, 1913" and "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.") bisected by the Rampant Colt. The right side of the slide is marked "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 45" ahead of the ejection port. Marked "GOVERNMENT MODEL" over the serial number on the right frame side, "92" on the right side of the trigger guard and "W/VP" on the left side of the trigger guard. Wide hammer, long trigger, short beavertail and smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard staple. The pistol has fixed sights and is fitted with checkered grips featuring diamond panels around the screws. Furnished with a two tone unmarked magazine.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 95% original blue finish showing light scratching around the magazine catch, bright edge wear and scattered spotting and handling marks. The grips are also excellent with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
