Excellent Diet Signed Engraved Belgium Browning Exhibition Model Superposed Shotgun with Factory Let
Manufactured in Belgium in 1967. This superposed shotgun is described in the accompanying Browning letter dated January 25, 2007, as being an "Exhibition Model with D.S. engraving." The letter verifies the 12 gauge over and under with 26" barrels choked skeet/skeet, that it was manufactured in Belgium and was sold to Eddie Bauer, Inc., Chicago, Illinois on April 24, 1974 for $6,500. The shotgun features dual ivory bead sights on the made vent rib, 2 3/4" chambers, choked skeet/skeet with ejectors. The barrels are blue and the remaining surfaces coin finished. The action, break lever, long tang trigger guard and forearm hardware are nicely engraved with floral designs. The barrel markings are engraved, not stamped and the serial number on the upper tang is simply engraved "5134S". The lower rear left side of the receiver is signed "J.H. DIET". Mounted with nicely figured, finely checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a brown vented Browning recoil pad. The shotgun is complete with the original box numbered to the gun. The end label is marked "D5" under grade. Length of pull is 14 3/8".
