Excellent Damascus Bladed 1933 Pattern SA Dagger Style with Scabbard and Hanger

Manufactured in very limited quantities and only on special order, German-made Damascus steel blades, typically coming from Solingen, represented some of the most valuable blade sidearms available. While Solingen could manufacture etched and engraved blades at a high rate of speed, the involved nature of the Damascus process, involving multiple passes of folding, hammering, and reforging a single piece of steel, meant these blades could only be produced by a limited number of artisans. Measuring 13 5/8 inches overall, with the 8 5/8 inch blade showing the raised, polished "Alles fur Deutschland" (All for Germany) motto on the obverse, with the deeply etched Damascus pattern on the remainder of the surface. The hilt is the proper regulation SA pattern, with "Wf" (Westphalia) on the reverse of the cross guard, the national eagle in the center of the grip, and the enamel SA medallion near the pommel. With a proper 1933 pattern SA scabbard, with nickel fittings, brown finished body, and a brown leather hanger with "A" and "D.R.G.M." on the rear of the clip.

Excellent, showing a few minor handling marks overall, 2 thin cracks on the grip near the pommel, and a few scuffs on the scabbard and hanger. An excellent example of a scarce piece of the bladesmith's art.
