Manufactured from 1864 to 1869. This example appears unused. This Second Model features the three line address/patent dates marking on top barrel flat, and the matching serial number on the barrel, back strap and cylinder. Brass cone front and hammer notch rear sights, blue barrel and cylinder, silver plated back strap and trigger guard, and casehardened remaining parts. Fitted with a smooth one piece varnished walnut grip.

Condition: Excellent. The barrel and cylinder retain 90% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish. There are a few scattered small areas of minor surface rust. The trigger guard retains 97% original silver plating with areas darkening with age and the back strap has an attractive, natural aged patina with dark original silver on the butt, with 20% remaining on the grip straps. The remaining parts retain at least 90% original bright case colors, fading in some areas. The grip is very fine with a few minor dings and dents. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
