This is an excellent example of a Second Generation Colt Single Action Army revolver manufactured in 1970. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, the left side is marked A"COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .357 MAGNUM" and the left side of the frame is marked with the tow line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and on the left side of the grip straps under the grip. Each grip panel is marked "387" and the matching assembly number "716" is marked on the right rear of the frame and on the loading gate. Standard blade front and frame notch rear sights, blue finish with casehardened frame and fitted with checkered Rampant Colt/American eagle grips. The accompanying factory letter verifies the barrel length, caliber, blue finish, rubber grips and that it was shipped as 1 of 2 to Jensen's Custom Ammunition Supply in Tucson, Arizona on May 13, 1970. comes with a Colt "woodgrain" box numbered to another gun.
