Manufactured in 1914, this is an excellent example of a Colt Model 1902 Military pistol with the square butt, slide lock on the left side of the slide, lanyard swivel and eight-round magazine, features that distinguish it from the Colt Model 1902 "Sporting" pistol. The left side of the trigger guard bow is stamped with an "X" assembler's mark above the Colt "Triangle/VP" proofmark and the right side is stamped with a "K" inspection mark.
