Excellent Colt Bisley Model Single Action Revolver
This is an excellent example manufactured in 1903, with the short 4 3/4 barrel, whereas most Bisleys had the long barrel for target shooting. The top of the barrel has the short two line markings "COLT'S PT.F.A.MFG.CO./ HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.---", with the left side of the barrel roll-stamped "(BISLEY MODEL) 32 W.C.F." The left side of the frame has the Colt three-patent date, two-line markings followed by the circled Rampant Colt trademark, the loading gate is stamped "2498" and matching serial numbers are stamped on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and the backstrap. Grips are checkered hard rubber with Rampant Colt logos at the top.
BBL: 4 3/4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 32 WCF
Finish: blue/casehardened
Grips: hard rubber
Serial Number: 246449

Excellent, with approximately 90% plus of the original blue finish with wear on the muzzle, ejector rod head and muzzle end of the ejector rod housing, some thinning on the housing, a gray patina on the gripstraps and scattered handling marks. Approximately 95% of the original vivid case colors are present, most vivid in the protected areas with the recoil shield turning bright. Grips are excellent, with some very minor scuffing on the bottom edges and sharp checkering. The markings remain crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
