Manufactured in 1907. Blade front sight and frame notch rear sight. The one line block letter Hartford address is marked on top of the barrel with "(BISLEY MODEL) 38 W.C.F." on the left side of the barrel. The left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The frame and hammer are casehardened and the remaining surfaces are blue. "5539" assembly number is stamped on the loading gate. The revolver has a wide low hammer spur and wide trigger with characteristic "humpback" grip. The left side of the trigger guard is stamped with the Colt triangle proof and the number "6". Matching serial number on frame, trigger guard and back strap. Fitted with checkered hard rubber grips featuring the Rampant Colt in an oval at the tops.

Condition: Excellent. The barrel and ejector rod housing retain 98% bright original polished blue finish with some loss at the muzzle and tip of the ejector rod housing. The barrel has a few small, barely noticeable spots. The cylinder also retains 97% original polished blue finish showing mild edge wear and fine cylinder drag lines at the rear. The grip straps retain 95% original polished blue finish showing thinning (mostly on the front strap). The frame and hammer retain 98% of the original bright vivid original case colors. The grips are also excellent with a slight nickel present on the bottom edge of the left panel. The checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent.
