Produced in 1907. Blade front and groove rear sights, with "COLT'S PT. F.A.MFG.Co. HARTFORD CT.U.S.A." on top of the barrel, "(BISLEY MODEL) 38 W.C.F." on the left, the two line patent markings on the left side of the frame next to the Rampant Colt, "59" in the hammer cutout and the assembly number "4273" on the loading gate. Matching numbers are present on the frame and grip straps, with matching partial numbers inside the grips. Grips are checkered, with Rampant Colt imprints at the top.
BBL: 7 1/2 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 38 WCF
Finish: blue/casehardened
Grips: black hard rubber
Serial Number: 295673
Condition: Very fine with 90% plus original blue finish, with wear concentrated on the grip straps and high edges, along with turning lines on the cylinder and scattered handling marks. Two unidentified proofmarks are stamped on the top of the barrel at either end of the address. 70% case colors are visible on the frame, with a brown and silver patina forming, concentrated on the left side. 50% original niter blue is present on the trigger, with a gray patina on the face. A chip is absent from the right toe, otherwise the grips are very fine. Mechanically excellent. An excellent example of a Colt Bisley Model Single Action Revolver.
