Excellent Colt Bisley Model Frontier Six Shooter Single Action Revolver
Produced in 1912. Fixed sights, with the one line Hartford address on top of barrel and "(BISLEY MODEL) / COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" roll engraved on left. The frame has the two line, three date patent marking followed by the circled Rampant Colt on the left side, "7" above the firing pin hole and "458" assembly number marked on the loading gate and the rear of the frame. The upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the Colt triangle "VP" proof and the rear with a "W". Matching serial numbers on the frame, grip straps and the inside of the grips. Casehardened frame and hammer, and blue on the remaining parts. Wide, low hammer spur with smooth wide trigger, characteristic "humpback" grip and checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt in an oval at the top.

Condition: Excellent, with 97% of the high polish bright original blue finish, showing some thinning and light scratches on the forward left side of the barrel, cylinder and backstrap. The outer edge of the ejector housing is thinning slightly. The frame shows 90% plus original bright case colors, dulling a bit on the loading gate and high area of the recoil shield, and showing a smooth gray and dull colors on the top strap. The grips are excellent plus having faded to dark brown with light handling marks and sharp checkering. Crisp and clear markings. The action is excellent.
