Excellent Cased Two Barrel Set G. Cargnel Signed Master Engraved Belgian Browning Diana Grade Superp
Manufactured in Belgium. This two barrel set consists of two 12 gauge barrels, each with their own high gloss forearm: 26 1/2" barrel (dual bead sights on a vent rib, 2 3/4" chambers, chokes marked modified/improved cylinder, finely checkering forearm) and 30" barrel (dual bead sights on a vent rib, 2 3/4" chokes marked full/improved modified, finely checkered finger groove forearm). Both barrels are marked with the one line Browning St. Louis and Montreal address over "'MADE FOR ABERCROMBIE & FITCH' MADE IN BELGIUM" on the left side near the breech. The shotgun has a deep relief leaf engraving on the receiver, break lever, forearm latch assemblies, and trigger guard. In addition, the receiver is engraved with pheasants in a wooded scene on the left side, ducks in a wooded marsh scene on the right side and two quail in flight on the underside, with two rabbits in a wooded scene on the trigger guard. The left side of the receiver is signed by the Master Engraver, "G. CARGNEL". Gold washed trigger and tang mounted safety/selector. The round knob pistol grip stock is high gloss extra fancy select walnut with fine line checkering and has a plastic Browning buttplate. Length of pull is 14 1/4". Complete with a Browning takedown case.

Condition: Excellent. Both barrels retain 99% plus original blue finish with a few light handling marks. The receiver has only the slightest handling marks. Both forearms are excellent with some scattered minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering. The varnish is beginning to craze on the forearm for the 30" barrel and the forearm for the 26 1/2" barrel has some scattered minor handling marks. The buttstock is very fine with some minor dings and scratches, with some scattered minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering. The case is excellent with aged hardware and hand written notes in pencil on top of the lid.
