Excellent 1930 Commercial Broomhandle Mauser Pistol with Shoulder Stock
This is an exceptional example of a late 1930 commercial Broomhandle Mauser pistol that is complete with the correct late commercial production wooden shoulder stock/holster. These pistols were the last of the Mauser Broomhandle series of pistols as they were phased out in favor of the P08 Luger pistol. These are easily identified by the reinforced chamber are, later high polished finish and lack of numbering of all the exposed parts. This specific pistol is at the very end of the production range for these late Mauser pistols. The top of the chamber area is marked " WAFFENFABRIK / MAUSER / OBERNDORF A/N" and on the left side it is marked with a single Crown/U proofmark with an additional Crown / U proof is marked on top of the rear section of the breech bolt. The right side rear frame is marked " WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER / OBERNDORF A. NECKAR / D.R.P.U.A.P." with the Mauser Banner logo on the left. It has the standard inverted "V" fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight graduated from 50-1000 meters. The late style walnut grips with 12 grooves on each side with a lanyard loop and ring on the bottom of the butt. The stock as noted is the correct late 1930 Commercial pattern that has the unnumbered attaching iron with the correct Mauser Banner marked wooden stock.
BBL: 5 1/2 inch round
Stock: walnut
Gauge: 7.63 mm Mauser auto
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut
Serial Number: 921052

Excellent overall with 99% of the late blue finish with only minor edge wear on the front of the magazine well and bottom of barrel. The grips are in excellent condition with just a couple of minor handling marks. The stock is also in excellent condition with some minor handling marks and numerous light pressure dents on both sides. The attaching iron and metal hinge both retain 90% plus of their bright original blue with the hinge browning out a little with some thinning on top of the attaching iron. An attractive and excellent original.
