Produced in 1926, this is a top-quality example of the Colt Government Model during the inter-War years. Finished in the post-World War I bright blue, with a polished chamber and feed ramp, and marked with the two line, one block address and patent dates on the left side of the slide, "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE .45" next to the Rampant Colt on the right, and "149/245" on the rear beneath the firing pin stop. The frame is marked "GOVERNMENT MODEL/C149245" on the right, "1/VP" and "51" on the triggerguard, with the post-October 1923 frame recesses and short trigger, short and wide hammer, long grip safety and arched checkered mainspring housing. Full checkered walnut grips, with an "S" marked barrel and "COLT/45 AUTO" magazine.
