The top of the barrel extension is dated 1918, the toggle is marked "DWM", the right side of the barrel extension has the three Crown over Script proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof and the left side has the four digit serial number that matches the frame. The Imperial Eagle proof is also marked on the top of the barrel and left side of the toggle. The bottom of the barrel is marked with the matching serial number over "8,82" bore diameter. Most small components are marked "90". The safety and extractor are correctly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN", respectively. Blue finish with straw colored small components. The sights are a fixed front and notch rear. The back strap has the stock lug, nickel magazine with matching numbered wooden base and fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 98% original blue finish with some high edge wear and some scattered very minor spotting. 90% of the original straw color remains on the small components. The magazine has a mottled grayish patina. The grips are also excellent with a few minor handling marks and sharp checkering. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent. An excellent original example of a totally original World War I Luger Pistol.
