Note: Top-Pop, highest graded known coin for the type. This over-date coin from 1898, struck over 1893 with distinct traces of the numeral 3 behind the 8 of 1898, was previously unknown and remains unlisted from all major catalogues. The dies from 1893 were skillfully retouched to represent the year 1898. This coin boasts an exceptionally embellished glaze, complemented by an underlying rainbow toning that extends across both sides, enhancing its overall beauty with original mint luster. An essential aspect is its correct labeling with this new variety type. It currently holds the Top-Pop Status on the NGC Census, adding to its significance in the British Indian coinage.
