Manufactured circa 1877 to 1879. The top of the barrel is stamped with the one line address/patent dates marking with "U.S.A." at the end. The receiver has the dust cover. The rear sight is a folding ladder graduated to 1,000 yards. The letter "P" and the number "32" (under the forearm) are stamped on the underside of the barrel. Smooth two piece buttstock surrounding the magazine with a forearm featuring non-factory checkering. The buttplate is correctly without a heel.

Condition: Very fine. The rifle retains 60% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. There is minor pitting on the receiver and some minor spotting mostly on the breech end of the barrel. The lever retains 80% original case colors. The wood is fine with worn high edges on the forearm, a couple deep pressure dents and some minor handling marks. The letter "H" is carved on the right side of the buttstock. Mechanically functions, but does not stay at full cock.
