European military style sword circa about 1600-1650 with a well forged guard and early type pommel. The blade shows running wolf style mark and “14 14” cipher on both sides. The sword measures 38” overall with a 31 ½” blade which wasshortened more than 6” during period of use. The blade, hilt and pommel match in age and style with good patina. The grip has lost its wire wrap with traces of leather which may be the original grip material. Est.: $600-$1200
