Last Empress consort of the French from 1853 to 1871 as the wife of Napoleon III, Emperor of the French. Ink signature, “Eugenie,” on a light blue 4.75 x 7.75 sheet of black-bordered Farnborough Hill stationery, with a New Year’s greeting added above the signature. In very good condition, with scattered soiling and wrinkling, and a horizontal crease below the signature. Accompanied by an unsigned carte-de-visite portrait of the Empress.
