Eugenia Calvo is a contemporary Argentinian artist, who questions the two-dimensionality of the medium photography in her work and creates elements of optical illusion. In this process, she has ripped apart the photo paper of this photographic work of 2004, behind which a text appears, so it could also be newsprint that the photograph has been printed on.



The C-print is laminated on synthetic board and sealed with acrylic glass. The acrylic glass shows some small scratches, one corner is minimally nudged. The work is besides that in very good condition. The dimensions are 24.2 x 24.2 cm.



Eugenia Calvo (b. 1976)

Eugenia Calvo, a Fine Art graduate of the School of Humanities and Arts of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario in Argentina, works with the medium photography. She has participated in numerous international exhibitions in Europe, the US and South America, group as well as solo exhibitions. She was awarded with the 1. Petrobras art prize (2006) and with the Cifo Grants and commission program to emerging contemporary artists from Latin America (2010). The artist lives and works in Rosario, Argentina. (tm)
