French novelist (1804–1857) best known for such works as Mysteries of Paris and The Wandering Jew. Untranslated ALS in French, one page, 3.25 x 5.25, October 18, 1835. Second page address panel. In fine condition, with three horizontal mailing folds and a few scattered creases, none of which affect the signature, a small pencil notation in the top left corner and above the address panel in another hand, and light mirroring of ink.
