Eugene O'Neill's masterpiece ''Anna Christie'' limited edition signed. Published by Horace Liveright: New York: 1930, this is number 742 of 775 numbered copies of the play, of which 750 were for sale. Its limitation page is signed, ''Eugene O'Neill'' in black ink. This play is O'Neill's classic story of a former prostitute who reunites with her estranged father onboard a ship and in the process meets her future fiance. It was first produced on Broadway in 1921 and has since been adapted into three films and a musical. Housed in a fair black paper slipcase and very good paper dustjacket, showing sunning to backstrip and some staining. Runs 161pp. and comes bound in purple and fuscia paper boards with a black cloth spine featuring gilt lettering. Deckled edges. Measures 8'' x 10.5''. Fine.
