This was brought back to the U.S. by a school teacher (Luann Skinner) who went to Ethiopia to tutor the grandchildren at the request of the late Emperor Haile Selassie following WWII. Ms. Skinner's father & mother were there to establish a new university in that country for his government (which they did). We don't know when the painting was done, nor who the artist, Jowyn was. It is unframed canvas stretched on wood frame.
