“Coca-Cola Bottling Co.” is etched inside a decorative etched border, with “Las Vegas, Nevada” etched below. Measures about 12" tall, including top, x 4" wide. Top is stamped “C. C. Las Vegas” and the siphon tube is shattered within the bottle. Bottom bears no maker’s mark. Clear glass, several small bubbles throughout, and heavily stained on inner and outer bottom. Predates the Hoover Dam. By the 1910s and ‘20s, Nevada had found business in soda works. Many companies, including Coca-Cola, moved to Nevada. The soda proved to be a big hit with Nevada residents and, later, Hoover Dam workers who enjoyed its distinct flavor and chill on hot summer days [Ref: Nevada History Through Glass, Vol 1, Fred Holabird, 2012, pp. 46, 64-5]. Etched seltzer bottles such as this, especially those from Las Vegas, are among the rarest and most valuable. From the Humboldt Soda Works Discovery. - Jacobitz Collection -59397
