After WWII she became recognized as one of the best actract artists working in New York. She was influenced by the famous Abraham Rattner (1895-1978), whom she soon married. During the 1950's she emerged as significant gallery director after opening The Esther Gentle Gallery, which is noted as hosting an exhibit of paintings by her friend, the author, Henry Miller. * Gentle exhibited her work throughout the United States during the 1960's and 1970's. Today her art can be found at the The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, and many other public and private collections. * We are pleased to present from an estate a group of dedicated artist proofs. *
