Printed by Mourlot for an Maurice Esteve exhibition held in Paris in May, 1956. Esteve is well-known for his rich colors similar to the fauvist mouvement of the early 20th century. The stone lithograph printed on Arches measures 23 x 15.75 inches. The lithograph is also a great example of a printing process known as 'touche' which replicates the appearance of an original gouache. Heavy inking on large surfaces. Both Poliakoff and Esteve among others were masters at this technique.
