Highlights include Asian Antiques, Art, Ceramics & Jewelry from the private collection of Madam Henyi Aixinjueluo a well-known Chinese artist. She is a descendant of the royal family of the Qing Dynasty, she is the grand niece of the last Emperor of China Pu-Yi; she is known in the Chinese community as "The Princess in Plain Clothes. Aixinjueluo began painting at age four, observing the images and imitating the styles and techniques of China's master painters. At age 14, her grandfather, Pujie, the brother of the last emperor of China, introduced her to several master painters and arranged for them to tutor her on basic techniques. From them, she learned and honed her painting skills. A desire to spread Chinese culture brought Aixinjueluo to the U.S. in 1999. She is currently writing a book about her great grandmother, Empress Cixi, and other emperors of the late Qing Dynasty. Hengyi Aixinjueluo transcended the court tradition in Chinese painting and formed a unique style of her own.
We have also been commissioned to sell the a collection of Far Eastern jade, porcelain and bronze from a Southampton, Long Island estate.
