This work comprises three color photographs of Erwin Wurm’s famous ‘One Minute Sculptures’. This presentation is limited to an exclusive number of ten and is numbered, signed and dated by the artist. Although 60 seconds may seem extremely short for the presentation of a classic sculpture, the physical act of remaining in the same pose for 60 seconds is not as easy as it may sound. The active participation of the visitor supplies the work with its meaning and at the same time the participant becomes an art work himself for the short period of 60 seconds. Erwin Wurm takes on the tradition of performance art by the likes of Piero Manzoni or for example Yoko Ono.

The photographs are laid on cardboard which shows the printed title ‘One Minute Sculptures’ lower center. The work is numbered, signed and dated with pencil lower right ‘9/X E. Wurm 97’. Verso, the cardboard shows some scattered crease marks to the edges. The overall dimensions of the work including the cardboard are 50 x 75 cm.
