Quality Ertl diecast authentic to scale replica of the Texaco 1929 Buhl CA-6 Sesquiplane, referred to as the 'Spokane Sun God', is the 9th issue in their Wings of Texaco series and rated to be in mint condition.

Dual graphic of plane on the ground and in flight is pristine. Box and plane are also rated to be in mint condition and opened only for inspection. Acquired from an estate collection of a Texaco corporate employee.

'In 1929, when transcontinental flight was considered in its infancy, the Spokane Sun God, piloted by Nick Marner, became the first plane to make a non-stop round-trip transcontinental flight. A section of the fuselage was removed so that a fuel hose could be received in flight. In August of 1929, this plane lifted off from Spokane's Felts Field and flew to Belleforte, Pennsylvania, returning to Felts Field five days later. It remained aloft for over 120 hours, flew 10,000 miles and established a world's distance record for a non-stop flight of 7,200 linear miles.'
