Double Eagles 1865-S Struck Through Obverse Error. PCGS graded Mint State 63. <b>From the Brother Jonathan treasure and so noted on the PCGS label. A blush of beautiful rose-sunset iridescence lies atop rich golden mint luster. Surfaces show little in the way of blemishes, with the most prominent being a small pin scratch before Miss Liberty's neck On the obverse of this impressive double eagle there is a small linear depression starting at the rim near 11 o'clock, extending downward through the right points of the 6th star and the coronet tip, just touching L and curving to the right, stopping in the field between the 8th and 9th stars. Errors of this type are a result of debris on the die when the coin was struck. In this instance, a detached strand of wire from a brush used to wipe the die probably caused the said depression.</b> <p align="center">Superior Galleries was founded in 1929 and has been a leader in
