Quirkily brilliant entertainer (1919–1962) whose freewheeling sense of humor and sense of visual style made him one of the most distinctive personalities in the early days of television. Two items: a DS, one page, 8 x 10.25, November 5, 1956, a National Broadcasting Company document in which Kovacs accepts the assignment as "'commentator at 34th Street' for the program entitled 'Macy's Annual Christmas Parade'"; and a vintage ballpoint signature and inscription, "To Joanne, Very best from me and your uncle, Ernie Kovacs," on an off-white 5 x 3.75 album page. In overall fine condition.
