A full page of Davis’ handwritten homework notes, signed “Ernie Davis” in black ballpoint, on a lined 8 x 11 sheet of paper removed from a spiral notebook. Davis has written notations on Joseph Conrad’s novel Heart of Darkness with over 40 words written in Davis’ hands. In part: “Marlow = now Kurtz when he was in bad shape, when he…was almost completely lost…Boy, in Bed is alone is False. Kurtz, is never alone in jungle.” In fine condition, with rough left edge, vertical fold, and faint edge toning.
