Distinguished oversized vintage matte-finish 11 x 14 photo of Hemingway in a jacket and tie and a wry smile on his face, by R. B. Fordyce of Miami, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint “To Judge Bishop, with all good wishes, Ernest Hemingway.” In very good condition, with moderate silvering to edges and darker areas of background, some light corner creases, and a bit of mild edge wear. Most of the silvering could be matted out for display. Papa-signed photos are highly desirable, but quite scarce, particularly in this size. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the daughter of the photo’s original owner stating “My father, who was a Judge in the city of Miami Springs…acquired this autographed photograph of Ernest Hemingway at the Miami Springs Villas.”
