Very desirable pairing of bullfight tickets for a contest at the Plaza Toros Monumental in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, on Monday, June 29, 1959, both approximately 6 x 3, issued for “Barrier” seating, with tickets numbered “62” and “63.” In very good to fine condition, with expected wear from use. These tickets originate from the personal collection of Roberto Herrera Sotolongo, Hemingway's close friend and personal secretary when he lived in Havana, Cuba. Hemingway wrote about his experiences at the bullfights in the summer of 1959 for a series of articles for Life magazine that would turn into Hemingway's final book 'The Dangerous Summer,' posthumously published in 1985.
