<B>Ernest Hemingway Rare Privately Printed Edition of <I>Two Christmas Tales</B></I>.</B></I> Inscribed by publisher <I>To Gary Cooper.</B></I> (Berkeley: The Hart Press, 1959), first edition, 5 pages, blue paperbound with cover illustrated in black, (6.5" x 10"), deckled fore-edge. Small card (4.25" x 2") partially pasted on the front page reading "<I>Merry Christmas Ruth and James D. Hart</B></I>". Stored in a blue cloth-bound slipcase with a leather title plate on the spine with gilt lettering. This edition, limited to 150 copies, was never offered for sale, and gathers two stories originally published in <I>The Toronto Star Weekly,</B></I> "A North of Italy Christmas" and "Christmas in Paris." This lovely collection is illustrated throughout by Victor Anderson. There is one small tear to the bottom corner of the cover, a small crease in the top corner and a bend in the tail of the spine, but otherwise this exceedingly rare Hemingway piece is in fine condition. A must-have for even the most astute Hemingway collector.
