He went on to enjoy success as a character actor, perhaps most memorably as Gloria Swanson’s faithful butler in the 1950 classic Sunset Boulevard. Vintage fountain pen signature, “Good luck! Erich von Stroheim,” on an off-white card. Triple matted with a portrait of von Stroheim as Rommel to an overall size of 12 x 17.5. In fine condition.
