German military officer (1865–1937) who served as a general during World War I and who was an early supporter of Hitler and participant in the Beer Hall Putsch. ALS in German, signed “Ludendorff,” one page, 5.5 x 9, July 22. Terse untranslated letter to a colleague in which Ludendorff mentions a feeling of isolation due to people being “stupid and cowards.” In fine condition, with mild overall shade of toning, and a crease to top left corner.
