Title of the work is Royal Stag. 18" tall by 20 5/8" long, 9" wide. Eric Thorsen (Born 1967) is active/lives in Montana. Eric Thorsen is known for Sculptor-wildlife. Eric Thorsen was born in Glasgow, Montana in 1967 to an American serviceman and a French citizen. Raised in this multi-cultural home, Eric's philosophies of sculpture were shaped at an early age. Trips abroad with his mother introduced Eric to a world filled with art and history that would mold his outlook on life. He began his art career carving detailed sculpture from wood. In 1992, Eric won the World Carving Competition held in Gainesville, Georgia. He holds memberships to prestigious groups throughout the art world, such as the Society of Animal Artists. Thorsen is the recipient of the Award of Excellence 2000 by the Society of Animal Artists.
