Three TLSs, each one page with one on personal letterhead and each signed “Eric,” 8 x 10, dated 1967, 1968, and 1974, respectively. The first letter reads, in part: “Here are the five Insurance Stamps you appear to need so urgently. You are quite right—I don’t get around to answering my correspondence as quickly as I used to—I should have thought the reason was obvious”; the second reads in part: “I am working at top pressure on a production of ‘Man and Superman’ for B.B.C. television and then going almost straight into rehearsals for ‘King Lear.’ This, as you can imagine, leaves me very little time for letters or, come to that, anything else”; the final letter reads in part: “Nice to get the news from the Far North and to hear that you enjoyed the Thoreau programme.” In overall very good condition, with scattered toning, damp staining, mild wrinkling and creasing to all three, a single punch hole at the top left corner of two letters and a missing upper left corner of one letter. A great trio of correspondence.
