British actor (1928-1995) best known for playing Dr. Moriarty opposite Jeremy Brett’s Sherlock Holmes and Soames Forsyte in the 1967 oft-rescreened 26-part BBCTV production of The Forsyte Saga by John Galsworthy. Vintage glossy 6.5 x 8.5 photo of Porter holding a cigarette, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “Best wishes Victor, Eric Porter.” In very good condition, with scattered creases and surface marks, lightly trimmed top edge, and old tape to edges on reverse.
