Eric Pfeiffer custom designed television and media storage unit, birch wood and brushed stainless steel veneer, with a central element of a tempered frosted glass, with thirty-three clear glass port-hole style decorative elements, attached to four bearings, running on a horizontal steel frame, flanked on either side are open storage shelves, the left side supported by square tube steel superstructure, on the right side are four drawers with custom turned aluminum pulls, to the left of the drawers is the central lower unit, with two sliding doors, one covered with a brushed stainless steel laminate, the other is frosted tempered glass, running on aluminum tracks, to the left is a single storage drawer, the whole unit rising on square tube steel, 95''h x 114''w x 32.5''d, Provenance: custom ordered from Eric Pfiffer for a San Francisco collector, Eric Pfeiffer is the co-author of ''Bent Ply the Art of Plywood Furniture'', Princeton Architectural Press, New York, 2003, the seminal book on the history and manufacturing of bent ply furniture, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art possesses four pieces of Eric Pfeiffer furniture in its permanent collection
