Union general (1822–1891). At the outbreak of the Civil War he helped raise the 7th Ohio Infantry and was elected their colonel. Original 2.25 x 4 carte-de-visite photo by Brady’s of New York, signed in the lower border in black ink, “E. B. Tyler, Brig Genl.” In fine condition, with a bit of scattered light toning and soiling and a small spot to rank.
