Three 17th century volumes: 1. SCALIGERI, IOSEPHI. Epistolae omnes quae reperiri potuernunt, nune primum collectae ac editae. Leiden: Bonaventurae & Abrahami, 1627. 12mo (7 x 4 3/4 in.). Leiden: Bonaventurae & Abraham Elzevir, 1627. Full calf, blindstamped blocked covers, four raised bands, gilt morocco label to spine, tooled inner border.  Very Good-Good. Little wear to calf, just slight surface scratching. Title page and first several pages are toned and soiled, toning and occasional foxing throughout, last several pages with some dampstaining.  2. LAPIDE,  HIPPOLITHO, A. Dissertatio de Ratione Status in Imperio Nostro Romano-Germanico. Freistadii: 1647. 18mo (5 1/8 x 3 1/8 in.). Full vellum, handwritten title on spine, all edges stained. Engraved frontispiece. Very Good. Vellum with soiling/discoloring, a few stains. Harvard Library bookplate and duplicate" stamp, and stamps on verso of title page, indicating Harvard duplicate 1920. Light toning. 3. MARTIAL. M. Val. Martialis Epigrammatton Libri. Animaduersi, Emendati & Commentarioulis luculenter explicati. Geneva: Petrum & Iacobum Chouet, 1623. 18mo (5 3/4 x 3 1/2 in.). Full vellum, handwritten title on spine. Illustrated "Y" on title page. Remnant leather ties. Fair-Poor. Darkening/soiling of vellum. Heavy foxing throughout. Title page has heavy soiling/staining/dampstaining, which extends for a few pages. On title page, a large ink stain (something written and scratched out), which has affected the following page. Ink stain pp. 382-383. Label on pastedown.
