Envelope "Flown to the Moon" on the Man's First Lunar Landing Mission The cover has a multicolor NASA Manned Spacecraft Center Stamp Club cachet. There is a faintly marked "C-3" in the blue moon of the cachet as well as a manuscript "Carried to the Moon aboard Apollo 11" notation above the cachet. These were written by Command Module Pilot Michael Collins. Collins gave only four covers that he carried to family and friends after the flight. Only one other of his covers has come on the market and that was sold in the October 1995 Superior auction as part of the definitive collection of the history of the flown Apollo 11 covers. The cover is signed by Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Buzz Aldrin in the center below the "Delayed in quarantine at Lunar Receiving Laboratory, M. S. C. - Houston, Texas" black hand stamp. The cover is cancelled at Webster, Texas, Aug 11, 1969 (when the astronauts, along with the covers they carried, were released from quarantine). The cover is genuine in all respects and an important piece of Apollo 11, and American space, history. A handwritten, signed Michael Collins certificate of authenticity is included.
