Ensemble consisting of a model 1903 U.S. Issue rifle by Rock Island Arsenal, #229513, along with print entitled "Lest We Forget" with business card of Eugene G. Guill, who was a American serviceman who settled in Colorado and whose family hadthese items in their possession until recent times. The print pictures a model 1903 rifle and military equipment, is nicely framed, in good condition. The rifle remains in good to very good condition showing Rock Island Arsenal barrel,dated 3-15. The metal surfaces are in good to very good condition showing 60-80% blue toned arsenal finish, some scattered light erosion and just starting pinprick pitting. The stock is good to very good with WJS cartouche in square abovetrigger, and "P" proof behind trigger guard. Forend, sights, and all parts as military issued. Good action, fair bore, with a couple of dark areas that may clean. Good markings. A sharp and early '03. Est: $900 - $1,800
