Portrait of Anne Frances, Countess of Falmouth engraved by William Henry Egleton, drawn by Alfred Edward Chalon, and printed by Mc. Queen. H. Egleton is listed in Benezit and described as a 19th Century English School engraver that, among other works, engraved the plates for the book "Portraits de l'Aristocracie Femenine," by Finden. Another copy of this engraving, with the same 1838 publication date, printer, and texts, is part of the collection of the New York Public Library. The Countess of Falmouth, born Anne Frances Bankes (1789-1864) was married to Edward Boscawen, 1st Earl of Falmouth. According to a seal on the reverse of the frame, this engraving was certified in 1951 to be an original. The following text is printed on lower border of the engraving: LONDON, PUBLISHED 1838, BY THE PROPRIETORS No. 18 & 19 SOUTHHAMPTON PLACE, EUSTON SQUARE RD.
